Description
A flavorful recipe for Filipino Sizzling Pork served with garlic-infused rice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds pork belly, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Salt to taste
- 4 cups leftover white rice
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Place the pork belly cubes in a mixing bowl and drizzle with soy sauce, oyster sauce, vinegar, and black pepper. Marinate for at least half an hour.
- In a large frying pan, heat cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork belly and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant. Then add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened and translucent.
- Return the crispy pork to the pan and stir to combine. Cook together for another 5 minutes, adjusting seasoning with salt as needed.
- For the garlic-infused rice, heat cooking oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add finely chopped garlic and sauté until golden.
- Add leftover rice to the skillet, mixing thoroughly with the garlic. Season with salt and cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.
- Plate the sizzling pork on a hot serving dish alongside the garlic-infused rice. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- Ensure the pork is well-marinated for better flavor.
- Leftover rice works best for the garlic-infused rice.
- Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
