Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
