- 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add the Rice Chex cereal and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and salt into the melted chocolate until well combined.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the Rice Chex cereal and gently stir until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed freeze-dried strawberries and powdered sugar.
- Add the chocolate-coated cereal to the bowl with the strawberry-sugar mixture. Gently toss until the cereal is well coated with the mixture.
- Spread the puppy chow onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it cool for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, break into pieces and serve.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, substitute half of the white chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips.
- Add a sprinkle of extra crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top for added flavor and visual appeal.
