  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust as necessary)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Blend the cooked beets in a food processor until silky smooth.
  2. Measure out one cup of beet puree and transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Combine gluten-free flour, sea salt, garlic powder, and onion powder in the bowl and stir until well integrated.
  4. Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until a cohesive dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about a minute until smooth and elastic.
  6. Divide the dough into six equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  7. Flatten each ball between two sheets of parchment paper using a rolling pin until about 6 inches in diameter.
  8. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and drizzle in olive oil.
  9. Cook each flatbread for approximately 2 minutes on each side until light golden and fully cooked.
  10. Transfer cooked flatbreads to a clean kitchen towel to keep warm while finishing the rest.
