Description
A simple and delicious recipe for date nut bars made with just four ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pitted Medjool dates (about 12–15 dates)
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, raw almonds, rolled oats, and sea salt. Pulse until the mixture is well combined and sticky, but still has some texture.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Press it down firmly and evenly using your hands or a spatula to create a compact layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.
- Once cooled, lift the bars out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares or rectangles.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in 1/4 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut or a teaspoon of vanilla extract before processing.
- Substitute the almonds with walnuts or pecans for a different nutty flavor, or use a mix of nuts for variety.
