Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mac and cheese to a baking dish and top with crushed Doritos.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
