Delicious and decadent Date Snickers bars made with Medjool dates, almond butter, and chocolate.

- 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup creamy almond butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup agave syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup crushed almonds
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Instructions
- Soak the Medjool dates in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them.
- Drain the dates and transfer them to a food processor.
- Add almond butter, cocoa powder, agave syrup, almond extract, and sea salt to the food processor.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Spread the date mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish, packing it tightly.
- Sprinkle crushed almonds on top and gently press them into the mixture.
- Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil.
- Heat in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled date layer and spread evenly.
- Return to the refrigerator for an additional 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
- Lift the mixture out using the parchment paper and slice into squares.

- Ensure the dates are well-soaked for easier blending.
- Press the almonds firmly into the mixture for better adhesion.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
