  • 1/2 cup crushed walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the dark chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped dried cherries, cocoa powder, sea salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. If using, fold in the crushed walnuts for added texture and flavor.
  5. Pour the ganache mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the ganache is firm.
  7. Once set, lift the ganache out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut into bars.
