Description
Crispy Baked Boursin is a delicious appetizer featuring Boursin cheese coated in a crunchy breadcrumb mixture, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces Boursin cheese (any flavor)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or your choice of herbs)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried herbs, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, beat the egg until well combined.
- Take the Boursin cheese and cut it into 1-inch cubes. Dip each cube into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- Place the coated cheese cubes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Lightly spray the coated cheese cubes with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Serve with fresh vegetables, crackers, or toasted bread for dipping.
