Ingredients

  • 2 cups brewed chai tea, cooled
  • 1 cup coconut milk (canned or carton)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled chai tea, coconut milk, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cardamom, ground cloves, and salt. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays, filling each compartment about three-quarters full.
  3. Using a toothpick or skewer, swirl the mixture gently to create a marbled effect.
  4. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.
  5. Once frozen, pop the chai latte cubes out of the trays and store them in a resealable plastic bag or airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of black pepper to the mixture before freezing.
  • Try using almond milk or oat milk instead of coconut milk for a different taste and texture.
