- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Begin by setting your oven to 325°F.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the softened butter with the chopped rosemary, thyme, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper until creamy.
- Using paper towels, gently dry the turkey. Lift the skin over the breast and thighs to create pockets for the herb butter.
- Spread half of the herb butter mixture beneath the skin and smear the remaining butter all over the outside of the turkey.
- In another bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, chicken broth, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and dried thyme. Mix well and pour half into the turkey cavity, saving the rest for later.
- Position the turkey on a roasting rack inside a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 165°F in the thickest parts of the breast and thigh.
- Every half hour, baste the turkey with the reserved cranberry sauce mixture.
- After roasting, take the turkey out of the oven and allow it to rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
