Description
Delicious and impressive Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Appetizers perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 sheets of frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 8 ounces Brie cheese, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry to smooth out creases. Cut each sheet into 4 equal squares.
- Place a piece of Brie in the center of each pastry square. Top the Brie with about 1 tablespoon of cranberry sauce.
- If using, sprinkle fresh rosemary over the cranberry sauce. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Fold the corners of the pastry squares over the filling, pinching to seal tightly. You can also twist the corners for a decorative touch.
- Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
- Place the prepared pastries on the lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter twist, try adding a sprinkle of brown sugar on top before baking.
- You can also substitute the cranberry sauce with fig jam or apple chutney for a different flavor profile.
