- 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped (or bacon bits)
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- Optional: green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, and bacon. Stir until well combined.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the chicken mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like broccoli, corn, or peas to the chicken mixture for added texture and flavor.
- For a spicier version, add buffalo sauce to the chicken mixture.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
