Description
Delicious crab-stuffed mushrooms that are perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 large white mushrooms, stems removed
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1 cup lump crab meat, thoroughly drained and checked for shells
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the lump crab meat, mozzarella, Parmesan, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well integrated.
- Carefully fill each mushroom cap with the crab mixture, ensuring they are heaped generously.
- Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Lightly drizzle olive oil over the tops of the mushrooms to enhance their flavor as they bake.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the mushrooms bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender and the tops have turned a lovely golden brown.
- Once baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh parsley for a vibrant touch.
Notes
- For an extra kick, feel free to mix in some hot sauce into the crab filling.
- For a lighter option, consider swapping Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise and using low-fat cream cheese.
