This easy Classic Bruschetta Recipe is made with fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, and olive oil, served on toasted bread. It’s a perfect appetizer or light snack!
Ingredients

- 4 ripe plum tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (plus 1 whole clove for rubbing the bread)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 baguette or Italian loaf, sliced
- Optional: balsamic vinegar or glaze
Instructions
- Dice tomatoes and combine with chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Toast bread slices in the oven or on the grill until golden brown.
- Rub each slice of bread with a whole garlic clove.
- Top with the tomato mixture and drizzle with balsamic if desired. Serve immediately

- For added flavor, drizzle balsamic glaze over the assembled bruschetta.
- Use ripe tomatoes for the best flavor.
