Description

Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites are irresistibly delicious treats that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
  6. Roll the dough out to about 1/2-inch thickness. Using a biscuit cutter or a round glass, cut out circles of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden.
  8. While the biscuits are baking, mix together the 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon in a small bowl.
  9. Once the biscuits are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. While they are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the milk.
  • You can also substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a nuttier taste.
