Description

A festive and delicious Christmas Red Velvet Cheesecake with a crunchy Oreo crust, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Red and green sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
  4. Add the vanilla extract, eggs (one at a time), sour cream, cocoa powder, red food coloring, white vinegar, and lemon juice. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the batter is smooth.
  5. Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared Oreo crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually.
  7. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  8. Before serving, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch.

Notes

  • For a chocolatey twist, add mini chocolate chips to the cheesecake batter before baking.
  • Substitute the red food coloring with natural beet juice for a healthier alternative.
