Description
A delightful Christmas dish featuring roasted Brussels sprouts with a sweet maple and rosemary glaze, topped with walnuts.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, maple syrup, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts mixture in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven, stir in the chopped walnuts, and return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized.
- If using, sprinkle the dried cranberries over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try substituting pecans for walnuts.
- Consider adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
- To make it a complete meal, serve alongside roasted chicken or turkey.
