Description

Delightful festive tartlets filled with cream and topped with berry jam, perfect for Christmas celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (115g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • ¼ cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 12 tbsp cold water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup berry jam (cranberry, raspberry, or strawberry)
  • A few spoonfuls of extra cream filling (for piping)
  • Candy holly leaves / red sprinkles / mini red chocolate candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until sandy and crumbly.
  4. Add egg yolk + cold water just until dough forms.
  5. Press dough into a mini muffin tin or tart molds.
  6. Prick bottoms with a fork.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes, until lightly golden.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  10. Add powdered sugar + vanilla → mix.
  11. Add heavy cream and beat until light, fluffy, and pipeable.
  12. Add 1–2 teaspoons jam into each tart shell.
  13. Pipe or spoon cream filling on top.
  14. Add a tiny swirl of extra cream on top for texture.
  15. Place 3 tiny red candies in the center → berries.
  16. Add 1–2 green leaf candies → holly or use mini sugared cranberries + mint for a natural version.

Notes

  • For a quicker option, use refrigerated pie crust or pre-made tart shells.
  • Feel free to mix and match different berry jams for variety.
  • Decorate with seasonal candies for a festive touch.
