Description

A delightful and light Christmas Cloud Bread infused with rosemary and garlic, perfect for festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes with an electric mixer.
  3. In another bowl, combine the egg yolks, cream cheese, salt, garlic powder, rosemary, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture in three additions, being careful not to deflate the egg whites.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, creating 6-8 mounds, shaping them into rounds or ovals about 1 inch thick.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
  7. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the egg yolk mixture.
  • Experiment with different herbs like thyme or oregano for customized taste.
