Description
Indulge in this decadent Chocolate Truffle Tart recipe that combines rich chocolate with a buttery graham cracker crust.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Cocoa powder or chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped semisweet chocolate, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled tart shell, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- Once set, remove the tart from the pan and garnish with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semisweet chocolate.
- Add a layer of fresh raspberries or strawberries on top of the tart before serving for a fruity twist.
