Description
Chocolate-Strawberry Pretzel Cookies are a delicious blend of sweet and salty flavors, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and diced strawberries gently to avoid breaking the strawberries.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- For a fun twist, try adding a pinch of sea salt on top of the cookies before baking for a sweet and salty flavor.
- You can also substitute the strawberries with raspberries or blueberries for a different fruity taste.
