- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
- Cooking spray or butter for greasing ramekins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Grease four 6-ounce ramekins with cooking spray or butter and place them on a baking sheet.
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
- Add the eggs, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in the flour, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let the cakes sit for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate and gently tap to release the cakes.
- Serve immediately, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a tablespoon of orange liqueur to the batter.
- You can substitute the orange zest and juice with lemon for a different citrus twist.
