Description
Crispy and delicious Chipotle Aioli Avocado Fries made in an air fryer, perfect for a keto-friendly snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Scoop the avocado halves out of their skins and cut each half into wedges.
- In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and water until well combined.
- Dip each avocado wedge first into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it in the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated avocado fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are cooking, prepare the chipotle aioli by mixing mayonnaise, lime juice, chipotle powder, and honey (if using) in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once the fries are done, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately with the chipotle aioli for dipping.
Notes
- For extra crunch, consider adding grated Parmesan cheese to the almond flour mixture.
- Experiment with different spices, such as cayenne pepper or Italian seasoning, to customize the flavor of the coating.
