Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, black pepper, and salt. Stir until well combined.
  3. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken mixture.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it over the top of the cheese, pinching the seams together to seal.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier filling, add an extra 1/2 cup of milk or a dollop of sour cream.
  • To customize, substitute the mixed vegetables with your favorites, such as broccoli or green beans, or use leftover turkey instead of chicken.
