Description
Chibage Chakagochwa is a delicious roasted corn on the cob treat, perfect for grilling or baking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ears of fresh corn, husked and cleaned
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh lime wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat it to 400°F.
- Husk the corn and remove all silk strands. Rinse the corn under cold water and pat dry.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with salt, paprika, and garlic powder if using.
- Brush the butter mixture generously over each ear of corn, ensuring all sides are coated.
- Place the corn directly on the grill grates or on a baking sheet if using the oven. Grill or roast for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the corn is tender and slightly charred.
- Remove the corn from the grill or oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Serve warm with fresh lime wedges for squeezing over the corn.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika instead of regular paprika.
- You can also sprinkle grated cheese, like Cotija or Parmesan, over the corn just before serving for an extra burst of flavor.
