Delicious Cherry Crumble Bars that are easy to make and perfect for dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add melted butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
  5. Spread the cherries evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the cherries.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a sweeter taste, add more sugar to the cherries.
  • These bars can be served warm or cold.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
