Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it forms a paste.
- Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately over hot fries.
Notes
