  • 2 large ripe pears, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced pears with lemon juice and set aside to marinate.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the tablespoon of butter, then add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir until well blended.
  4. Add the sliced pears to the skillet and sauté for approximately 5-7 minutes until tender and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the almond flour, granulated sugar, egg, softened butter, almond extract, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  6. Transfer the pie crust into a 9-inch tart pan, ensuring it fits snugly.
  7. Spread the almond mixture evenly across the base of the crust.
  8. Layer the caramelized pears over the almond mixture and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  9. Bake the tart in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the tart is firm to the touch.
  10. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
