- 2 large ripe pears, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced pears with lemon juice and set aside to marinate.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the tablespoon of butter, then add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir until well blended.
- Add the sliced pears to the skillet and sauté for approximately 5-7 minutes until tender and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the almond flour, granulated sugar, egg, softened butter, almond extract, and salt until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the pie crust into a 9-inch tart pan, ensuring it fits snugly.
- Spread the almond mixture evenly across the base of the crust.
- Layer the caramelized pears over the almond mixture and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake the tart in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the tart is firm to the touch.
- Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
