Description
A festive and delicious Candy Cane Dessert perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups crushed candy canes (about 10–12 candy canes)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Add the Greek yogurt to the cream cheese mixture and fold until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of the crushed candy canes, reserving some for garnish.
- Pour the filling into the cooled graham cracker crust and spread it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Before serving, sprinkle the top with the reserved crushed candy canes and chocolate chips if using. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, add cocoa powder to the cream cheese mixture or use chocolate graham crackers for the crust.
- To make it a no-bake dessert, simply skip the baking step for the crust and chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before adding the filling.
