Description

A delightful recipe for buttery ganache cookie cups that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough into each muffin cup, pressing it down slightly to form a cup shape.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. While the cookie cups are cooling, prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  10. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  11. Once the cookie cups are cooled, fill each cup with the chocolate ganache. Allow the ganache to set for about 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
  • You can also add a pinch of sea salt on top of the ganache for a sweet and salty contrast.
