Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, sour cream, and heavy cream, mixing until well combined.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
- Top the cheesecake layer with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it gently to cover.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding chocolate chips to the brownie batter or swirling in some caramel sauce before baking.
- You can also top the cheesecake layer with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate ganache for an elegant finish.
