Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, sour cream, and heavy cream, mixing until well combined.
  7. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
  8. Top the cheesecake layer with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it gently to cover.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
