- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in the egg yolk and cold water until the dough forms.
- Press the dough into a 9-inch tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides.
- Prick the bottom with a fork and bake for 15-20 minutes or until set.
- Let cool completely.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a simmer.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the ganache into the cooled tart shell and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- In a small bowl, combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
- Once the ganache is set, top the tart with the blueberry mixture before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet chocolate.
