Delicious and spooky Bleeding Black Cupcakes perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
- Black gel food coloring (optional, for darker effect)
- ½ cup raspberry or strawberry jam
- Red gel food coloring (optional)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- Black food coloring
- Red gel icing for ‘blood’ drizzle (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare chocolate cake mix according to the box directions, adding black gel food coloring if desired.
- Fill liners 2/3 full and bake 18–20 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Stir a few drops of red food coloring into the jam. Fill a piping bag with the jam.
- Cut a small hole in the center of each cupcake and fill with jam.
- Beat butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and milk gradually. Tint with black food coloring.
- Frost cupcakes and drizzle with red gel for a bleeding effect.

- Ensure cupcakes are completely cool before filling with jam.
- Adjust the amount of food coloring to achieve desired color intensity.
