Description
A refreshing and delightful sorbet made with blackberries and infused with lavender.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and lavender buds. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to remove lavender buds.
- Add blackberries and lemon juice to the syrup and blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
- Once frozen, scoop and serve the sorbet in bowls.
Notes
- For a smoother texture, blend the mixture again before freezing.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar based on your preference.
