Description
A delicious twist on the classic Big Mac, this Big Mac Salad Bowl captures all the flavors without the bun.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup pickles, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large salad bowl, layer the chopped romaine lettuce as the base.
- Top the lettuce with the cooked ground beef, cherry tomatoes, pickles, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced red onion.
- Drizzle the Thousand Island dressing over the top and gently toss to combine.
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes for a cooler dish.
Notes
- For added crunch, consider topping the salad with crushed tortilla chips or croutons.
- You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or a plant-based meat alternative for a lighter option.
