- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat (or leave some for extra spice).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Take a spoonful of cooked ground beef and press it onto the cream cheese-filled jalapeños, covering them completely.
- Place the beef-wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each jalapeño.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the jalapeños are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired before serving.

- For a spicier version, leave some seeds in the jalapeños or use hotter varieties like serranos.
