- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until they are just tender, then drain and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, blend together the ricotta, mozzarella, Greek yogurt, Romano cheese, dried basil, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold the cooked noodles into the cheese mixture, ensuring all the noodles are well coated.
- Pour the combined mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with olive oil, then sprinkle this mixture generously over the top of the noodle dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is crisp and golden, and the cheese is bubbling.
- Once out of the oven, allow it to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Optionally, garnish with fresh chives for a pop of color and flavor.
