Delicious and fluffy Apple Cider Cream Donuts filled with whipped cream and dusted with powdered sugar.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apple cider
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the apple cider, melted butter, brown sugar, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Carefully spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the donuts are cooling, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Once the donuts are cool, use a piping bag or a small knife to create a hole in the side of each donut and fill with whipped cream.
- Dust the filled donuts with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding a teaspoon of pumpkin spice to the batter for a seasonal flavor.
- You can also substitute the apple cider with pear cider for a different taste.
